hahahahahaaaaaaaaaahahahaha

we've all been there in our youths, although it was scrambled Playboy TV or racy magazines (before the Internet was invented).

egan said...

@DIMA

Scrambled Playboy was a large part of my adolescence. Having lived in Japan ages 9-15, there was more porn available on the street than you could shake a stick at.

goodfellow-puck said...

Forget the chick picture...wtf is with the ancient computer system. Is that a FLOPPY drive??

Wrightandwrong said...

goodfellow is right, lol

Megan said...

To go along with Goodfellow, I was noticing that there was no way the keyboards could fit with the tray pushed in...

But yeah, someone was bored at work with this picture.

eagleapex said...

This is all I do at work

ShinjiPG said...

That must be a pain in the neck.

Brent said...

It looks like the computer, monitor, and keyboard might all be cardboard models.

Fifi LeBeouff said...

Priceless

Katie said...

They look like those cardboard display models of computers, rather than real computers.

cgyrask said...

The best part is that the image appears to be 'shopped in after the fact.

Heather said...

Read the product reviews on the site, apparently the company doesn't!

Chad Schofield said...

ha ha ha!

But seriously, who'd have thought there'd be a demans for a prequel to Weird Science?!

crazy-gabrielle said...

Hahaha, that's priceless.

mars said...

Sold out... sex really does sell! Because that desk looks awful!

unMuse said...

"See Johnny.. that's where you put it.."

khendar said...

And the Design Award for Least Ergonomic Computer Desk goes to...

pi8you said...

Hahaha, comments are priceless, and the computers are definitely cardboard, you can see the fold cuts along the top edge of the monitors.

Slightly Nerdy said...

Yeah, they're cardboard. My uncle uses those (STILL) in his furniture store on computer desks. You'd think people could design some up-to-date fake computers, gahh!

Mingo said...

the parenthesis should go inside of the period (as in, just like this ).

ArcticElephant said...

I love it how the veteran shagger in the red shirt explains it all to the much younger, inexperienced blonde boy.

Señorita Puri said...

hahahaha love the label "underpaid freelancer"

Daniel Owen said...

Maybe the boy in the chair wouldn't be straining his neck quite so much if his 'monitor' weren't pointing at spot somewhere on the ceiling behind him.

daRONN said...

Muhaaaa. You can never start learning about those things early enough :)

melatonin said...

Take a look at this page. It's the same photo, just without the lady (and - for some strange reason - without shadows).

I guess computerdesks.com just made themselves a lot of free publicity ...

Daniel Owen said...

@Heather - bizarrely, having just tried to post a joke review myself, those reviews have been moderated!

The Mushroom said...

Could they have made those computers look even more like they were PROPS cardboard boxes?

Galileo said...

Ha, ha, ha.. Love reading all comments.
It looks in fact as the entire picture, including children is cardboard. The edge around the "tall" boys head appears to be to sharp, sort of.

Ars Morendi said...

That's great. Reminds myself of me when I was a kid.

Alex said...

Cardboard display "computers" ftw.

meh said...

Hahaha - Tap that ass!

Paul said...

I think the big disaster is the cropping (gedit) of the blonde kids hair!

Amanda said...

LOL Kudos to the designer for sneaking the pic in! Sounds like a PhotoShop Win!

Tim Solley said...

BEST. PSD. EVAR.

I love it. Best of all, I just clicked on the original and it's been shopped to have the same image as the "computer" on the left.

Chris said...

These guys shouldn't be surfing porn at work.

D.B. said...

As amusing as this is, I still call bullshit.
Obviously someone added the car chick image, but I seriously doubt if it was ever published on the site.
It's been shown that other images of the same desk on the site don't have the car chick picture, and if you go to the supposed original page, it's not there now.

obviously it was shopped in by a bored graphic designer. it already seems to be gone, though. maybe the person who did it reads this site and got scared his/her boss would find out......

SsnakeBite said...

Oh God... there's no way this was not done on purpose.

broken-moons said...

Hahaha, I'm sure kids will do that, but to advertise with it..?

And not photoshop-related, but why is that kid sitting so low, and why on earth is that monitor pointing up, up and away from the kid?

personal hype quotient said...

i bet that screen was blank when they took the photo, and later some graphic designer put that photo in.

someone needs to ask that guy what the story is.

mfarah said...

Not only the "computers" are cardboard models... the cardboard keyboards are obviously copying the IBM Model M keyboards' shape.

Just how old is the stock picture?

BTW: I'm a big fan of IBM Model M keyboards. I'm using one right now.

spit tea out my nose funny. :)

@D.B.

Check the reviews of the product that are dated before this PsD post.

I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the original. Priceless.

Jenny said...

That looks like a picture from a photoshoot they did on America's Next Top Model cycle 5.

Guánder Guóman! said...

OH MY GOSH!

This is hilarious! Hahahahahahaha! And the face of the kid pointing like teaching the other kid an anatomy lesson! Hahahaha!

nycnftmx said...

The fixed image shows the kid trying and the screen saver up. Not much better. See the review? This desk has been perfect for my 5 year to use. He regularly sits at his desk for 4 to 5 hours at a time looking a pictures of women standing in front of sports cars. I figured he may be too young, but he argued that in your picture the kids were looking at the same thing. So, I decided to let it slide. He loves his desk but I worry he may be looking at some stuff he shouldn't.

Lynn said...

hey designers, are you sure that the kids can look at the monitors comfortably? at least the monitors should be face down!!

This site view still has the hot babe pic. http://www.computerdesks.com/info/powerreviews_write_review.cfm?pageId=LXR005

This has got to be the funniest one yet. I've been laughing my butt off for 5 minutes now! And those comments on their website - omg.

Taffy "Sunburst" McKittrick said...

Classic!

Patricia Linehan said...

That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Maybe it was the work of a disgruntled, under-appreciated employee.

David said...

Aw, they took down the original reviews as well as changing the main picture. Anyway, I wrote my own review for them and if they don't add it, I might as well share it anyway.

The perfect desk for growing boys
By David the Brit

Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Assemble, Sturdy Construction, Easy To Clean
Best Uses: Bedroom
Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper
Primary use: Personal
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

As my little chap got bigger I knew I needed a suitable PC desk to accommodate his needs. As the keyboard is mostly used with one only hand, something with good vision and space under the drawer was essential. It's good and sturdy (just as well as it's taken the odd involuntary kick since it was put up!) and it's wonderfully wipe-clean. If only all manufacturers and retailers were as attentive to boys' needs as this! Thank you!

Here is another disaster. This site took this photo and badly edited out your watermark.

Doubters who think the chick and car image was never on the site, for now you can still see the thumbnail version of it at the link TheOther gave to the review page for the product.

(Not only was the prank image on the site, but it was on the site for the wrong product? Nice one.)

Ross said...

Pretty cool stuff, I saw this site with some useful info on Computer Desks . Hope it helps.

This is a fake. I can't believe someone take the take the time to fake a photoshop mistake. Get a life, but then I can't believe I took the time to comment on such a ridicules post. I guess I need a life too.
