There is a blog named "For all of us who realize that the vast majority of the internet users have a native language other than English, yet they are very welcome to both take part of and leave comments on whatever site they might come across on the Internet, should they feel like it".
Spend a few minutes reading some of the posts there. It might open up your eyes and free your mind.
That font can be downloaded almost anywhere on the net, and that .. the cruel way of editing the banner.. such a pity because the convention was about Photoshop!
Are you saying that your 'free' mind presumes that all bad English grammar on the internet is written by non-English speakers?
I don't presume any such thing as it is usually quite easy to tell the difference between poor or lazy grammar and a lack of fluency in the English language.
If the original post that I light-heartedly sniped at was written by someone with a first language other than English I shall stand corrected.
No, you are absolutely right. But, very often (too often, if you ask me) I see people nagging on language skills (or lack thereof), even though it must be quite clear to everyone that it is because of a different mother language.
So, let _me_ stand corrected, was the comment you referred wroten by an english speaking person. :-)
How ironic, English is not my mother tongue but I can spot mistakes made by English-speaking people... And net-users often tell me they tend to forget I'm not anglophone.
Great to see teh Kelby himself commenting, indeed...
I know you're kidding about sacking those responsible, Scott... but honestly, you don't need to: the embarassment factor should be enough punishment :)

Brilliant!
What, a Photoshop disaster in a banner about... a Photoshop Convention?
EPIC Fail! HAHA!
Nasty!
hey, I have that font!
Well, I guess being on this blog is one way to get the word out to Photoshop Users...
What about the scary blurred hand? The ball of his thumb appears to be melting.
so what's wrong with it? Sorry, I can't tell.

OHHHH! The logo on the football got cut off before the pictuer was cut-off! haha
Now that IS funny! Curious... what font is that?
Yeah, just how DO you get 'motion blur' in that part of your hand? Wow...
ouch. that one hits where it hurts. pretty sure i have that font buried away somewhere as well.
Oh dear, that took me too long - thought it was som obscure superbowl reference!
Still it's nice to see Michael J. Fox getting some hand modelling work.
Ok,, I *would* say that's an error, but hardly a disaster... BUT, for an ad for the freakin' PS World Expo?
Major DISASTER! Gold stars all around for this one.
Ironic.
Sad too, another Kelby kool-aid drinker...
Hello,
Just ask Kelby where is the problem, you will maybe receive a free training.
Think he is one of the best in Photoshop, so just have a little respect.
If it's not broken it doesn't get our attention here...
That's a good strategy...
How ironic!
what font is which font do you mean?, there's like more than one.

"what font is which font do you mean?, there's like more than one."
A Grammar Disasters blog is urgently needed.

"Um, yeah, we meant to do that - It was a test - that's it - a test. And you passed.!"
So boringly picky sometimes…
Extra arms and stuff on people - great… But, kinda find these posts a bit boring though…
Indifference is cool, right Nim?

I hope someone send this to Kelby. I'm sure he would get a laugh out of it.
Man, I hope at the convention they show me how to not complete my Photoshop work so I can make it on this blog.
On second though, I don't.

Maybe it's an in-joke by them :D

Not even the Adobe gods are safe
random "this is not a disaster" bullshit.

maybe it's a printing fail on the ball...
... nah, not really
p.s: english is not my mother language
Oh my god, this kind of makes me sick.
That's pretty ironic uh?
Hi Gang:
I saw this and totally cracked up!!!!
Sadly, this is the least of the things that slips by us sometimes, but now I have to go fire someone in our graphics dept. ;-) (totally kidding!).
All my best,
-Scott Kelby
President, Nat'l Assn. of Photoshop Professionals
Great to see Scott commenting on it.
Maybe it was a conference about how to spot Photoshop disasters, and anyone who spotted the deliberate error in the advert gets in for free.
How ironic, English is not my mother tongue but I can spot mistakes made by English-speaking people... And net-users often tell me they tend to forget I'm not anglophone.
@ellens365 ... "Sad too, another Kelby kool-aid drinker..."
What does that mean? Thanks. CR
Oh, the rich irony is overwhelming!
Hahaa, such irony is RIGHT! Wowww.
