This is not a disaster. It is just a play on perspective. You can easily see this where he is leaning on the corner and she is covering that part of the mirror.
Credit where it's due, apart from the missing reflection it's hard to see the join here. Something has gone awry with that second sliding door from the mirror though - there's some framework in the mirror that isn't next to him. There's no chance of his reflection being hidden behind her though Josh - his head is resting against the second wooden door panel, which is completely visible in the mirror - and prominently bloke-free!
The reflection geometry is way out - her reflection should be much further to the right. Looks like it was a much wider photo originally, and they've bumped her in from the right to fit a narrower space, and moved her reflection even further. After moving her, they realised her outline was messed up by having a few small bits of his reflection poking out of it, so they removed it completely. Pity, as it looks like it would have been quite a striking picture before they made a dog's breakfast of the whole thing.
He's a vampire, and has used his wiles to make the woman forget that he has eaten a large part of her left leg. And his powers to keep her upright despite the loss of her left knee.
While I agree her left leg has been shoop-shot to Hell just like her boobs, his abs, and her own reflection I think his non-existent reflection is on purpose. Look to the side, it says The Saint and the Sinner (or something I can't be arsed checking) so it might be intentional.
Looking where is head should be in the mirror there is a weird grey spot, as if he has been edited out of the reflection... to make him look like a vampire, or what??
his legs are reflected in the mirror, just above her right elbow. where his reflected head has to be in the mirror, there you can find some shadow... oh, her legs look just like she's got to go to the toilets.
new theory about vampires: their body parts are invisible, but they leave shadows in the mirror. their clothes aren't invisible. bad thing.
I was the tech on this shoot, and I looked at the RAW file and we did in fact take a bit of his head out. To reggies defense though, we didn't retouch his abs at all. dude was ripped. I'm kinda pissed at the retouching though....they did an awful job of taking his head out...
I can't put my finger on it, but there's something about this image that prevents me from calling it a disaster. All I know is that it's not the guy's abs.
The far cupboard catch on the first panel isn't reflected either, the reflected panel the vamp is leaning against has either moved or grown in the reflection as well.

Looks really weird, but at least we can still see parts of his trousers in the mirror.

Can't be blocking his reflection. It should be at the adjacent spot on the wall which is partially visible in the mirror.
Look just above her head and to the left. You can actually see the darker outline area where the reflection of his head has been removed.

The light of the lamp on the wall isn't reflected and the whole wall is much darker in the reflection.
