hey felipe, look the size of those hands. haha. one picture that i google to make my point: http://www.icicom.up.pt/blog/muitaletra/arquivos/Child%20with%20a%20Book.jpg.
On the other hand, it's surely just possible that the box contains 30 ice cream cones that really are the size of popcorn bucket, weighing only 4g each.
I like how she's not even looking at the cone. She's looking at something behind the camera. I'm not sure I want to know what's more surprising than a huge ice cream cone.
Obviously intentional, yes, but still it's so funny it should be posted. The mixture of the girl's expression with the size of that thing is ridiculous. Thank you.
The size disparity is obviously intentional, as it's using exaggeration to sell the product - the disaster is in the low-quality 'shopping done to put the oversized cone in her hand.
I mean, really - is it that hard to take a picture of an 8-year-old girl holding an actual oversized cone with 10 gallons of vanilla ice cream in it?
Not really a PS Disaster, just a typo on the box. This is actually a single 30 Scoop Ice Cream Cone. Seriously though, the kid looks she just stubbed her toe or something. That is not the face of a child holding a year's worth of ice cream in a single cone.
@ SCASCOTT "I mean, really - is it that hard to take a picture of an 8-year-old girl holding an actual oversized cone with 10 gallons of vanilla ice cream in it?"
Pretty hard. Those darn 8 year olds have puny weak arms.
hej, it's just marketing and I'm sure it helps sell lotsa ice cream. It's intended for little kids who couldn't care less if you made it with photoshop or crayon.
On the other hand, her fingers could use some shadows so it feels like shes actually holding the cone, but kids won't stop for that. Nor moms for that matter.
This is why designers should never ever touch photoshop! How these people gets the jobs, more to the point WHY? Did the art director look through this guy's portfolio and think 'Yup, love the way your work is SHIT. It's just the right kind of message I want to send!'
Idiots!
Same goes for all you gits who wear sunglasses on the UNDERground! You'd think the give away for the absence of the sun was in the name!
Seriously, if you're gonna start picking on You'll Love Coles packaging, this site will need to be updated much more often, every single one of them is at least a WTF, if not a PsD.
I believe the inclusion of these images are a result of a slight "quantity above quality" mindset. I'd rather have one GOOD PsD a week, than one "meh" a day...
Have to say, I pass that product at Coles every now and then and always feel somewhat bewildered. I realise they have two choices -- 1: To make it look like it's so wow so having no choice but to oversize the cone and by putting a kid on there or 2: Have the actual size modelled by someone older but in the process showing how small the things are. Think I'd go for the former.
Not every PsD has to be an extra limb. This is a disaster because it's done so poorly. Look at her arms, her hands, her face. Yes, the giant cone is intentional, but it's a hack job.
Meh, it's COLES which in here Australia is a supermarket or market or whatever the fuck you guys call your large food chains over there. This is a Home brand product, it's done on the cheap, not as if they give a shit WHAT it looks like, they are gonna sell HEAPS more of the COLES brand than the more expensive brands even if they put a pic of a dog licking it's testicles on the front of the box, trust me, I buy them. BTW, we say MUM not MOM, what's WITH you people decimating the English language anyway?
Yes, the fact that the ice cream cone is larger than her torso is intentional. But the way the two parts of the image were put together was very poorly done. Unless the giant cone also levitates itself, because those hands obviously aren't holding it.
Slight PsD. Seriously, is it so hard to just make a prop of a giant ice cream cone to use for the ad? Her eyes aren't even looking at the product.

It's no wonder kids are getting obese these days!
mmm, Jolly Green Giant-sized ice cream cone...
That's obviously intentional, why would you call it a Photoshop Disaster? It's just bad art direction at most.
I honestly think this one was intentional...
WV: childe - awesome.

haha.

=D
Her face says it all. Maybe not a PsD in the execution, but definitely in the concept.
WV: dizessor, or what that girl might call this image

If she eats a bunch of those and then becomes a supermodel, she might show up at PhotoshopDisasters again!
And that is just the small cone ...
I love the serving suggestion text next to the huge cone.
hey, yeah, it's intentional - it says right on it "30 cup ice cream cones"
Identifies the product. No obvious errors. In no way fits the established criteria. I guess it just doesn't matter anymore, huh?

yes, it's obviously intentional, but it's still a disaster.
how many ice cream cones have you seen that have their own light sources?!

Yeah it's intentional. But it doesn't excuse it from being fucking stupid.
It's a disaster to use photoshop to make something so terrible.
that's what we call as hyperbola... hahhaha
I think that expression on her face is from trying to bite on one of those fingernail-sized sprinkles.
Congratulations, it's intentional. You're also fired.
"The crunch makes
it extra yummy."

At least it the coveted Liana endorsement,
The "disaster" was what they Photoshopped out what she was holding in her hands to replace it with the ice cream cone.
/Have a seat right over there.
Folks, the line about meth is a big hint. Check out the eyes. They are ALL pupil. Whoever edited the face did a horrifying job of it.
The left hand is transparent :P

WV: SUBRANT - as illustrated above

hm... looks more like a photoGRAPHdisaster to me. honestly, how hard can it be to take a decent picture of a presumably slow-moving box??
I believe the inclusion of these images are a result of a slight "quantity above quality" mindset. I'd rather have one GOOD PsD a week, than one "meh" a day...

That's not the only one

not a PSD. Nope, I don't care what you say. Defo not. Put it on FailBlog if you must.
Not every PsD has to be an extra limb. This is a disaster because it's done so poorly. Look at her arms, her hands, her face. Yes, the giant cone is intentional, but it's a hack job.
Doesn't matter, because, apparently, "the crunch makes it EXTRA yummy."
It's like part of an advertising joke. Like their ice cream cone are really big. I think it's a clever idea.

Not to anyone but you, Steve.
WOw it was awesome.
I'll have what she having! :P

Clearly isn't a PSD. The girl's a midget.
Now that's a big icecream! Me want one!
I think everyone is missing what the failure is.
Look at her hands.

Seems like she's missing her wrist...And her right hand seems a much tanned version of her left. One-arm tan?
Serving suggestion: get a midget to hold your cone for you.
wv: wightio (which is what Jonathan Ross might say if you asked him to do something)
That is shitty work, but it gets the advertising job done...now I want a giant ice cream cone...:/
I think that they forgot to actually write a serving suggestion, instead of the words "serving suggestion" that are at the bottom right.
Where's the photos here?
In fact, I'm unable to see the images in question on at least half the posts here.
It's getting mighty frustrating watching you folks crack wise on images that aren't displaying.
she seems to have more skin on the right side of her face? near the right eye?
and i think the hair on top of her left ear seems out of order...
wow, what a tiny girl!
Imagine the size of the ice cream bucket !!
