no no no I can tell that it's not a real arm growing out of the baby's head because the shadows on the sleeve are all wrong. Try blowing it up to 1600% and you will see a couple of pixels that shouldn't be there too. So I say HAHA to you naysayers!
come on thats so funny - baby with an extra arm on head - that has to be intentional, sure it may lose you your job but at least it'll get a few laughs.
What I'm thinking is they copied the baby's hand/arm onto a separate layer and were going to reposition it, but they ran out of time, and forgot to delete the extra arm.
Or the alien got mixed up and is emerging from baby's head instead of his stomach.
I bet this is a magazine production mix-up. The page designer wanted to have the baby's arm coming out of the border of the picture and poking into the text, but then had to make to picture bigger because the text was too short - they just forgot to delete the extra arm. I'm saying that cos I did it one time in a newspaper... oops!!!
@Galadriel: No. No, you are not. In fact, the reason I checked the comment section was to see if anyone else had made the "Thanks to Anal" mistake...heh.
I too am mostly curious on what the reason even was for winding up with that. I guess, maybe, someone thought the kid's arm would look better posed differently, began working on it, then maybe was told to stop/get rid of it and tried to just turn off the layer, meaning they technically left the arm in the picture but with the layer turned off it didn't show. Then somehow in the saving it got turned back on and no one saw it before it went to print.
I think maybe someone, for some reason, began trying to doctor the image and was either told to stop or decided to give up, but had already pasted the arm into the image and could move it out of the frame. So they just turned off the layer with the arm figuring that would solve it. Then somehow it was turned back on when it was sent to print, resulting in this fine mess.

My baby can do that
PS: FIRST!
that's not a disaster! of course her baby has a third arm growing out of it's head. doesn't yours?
Well, how else would her breed look like, I tell you there's no photoshop, that arm protruding is all natural!!! :D
What the hell? Why were they messing with the kids hand?

Leave Jaylo alone! She's a hard enough time with her other kid going bald!
Not to mention, the bald kid has one very loooong left arm!
My CS4 can do that!
Now I know why they say dressing a baby is like trying to get an octopus in a string bag. Arms and legs everywhere!
This poses the question WHY the image was in photoshop to begin with... someone just accidentally got the clone brush out?
great fence btw...
holy crap!! that's so obvious.
The only thing I can think of is that the baby was never there to begin with, and the extra arm is a leftover from the build-a-baby process...
Come on guys.. Every not-correctly-functioning-transformer-baby can do that!
And let me say (seriously now!) that the extra arm is a RIGHT one! Just like the one we see normally attached to the baby's shoulder.
So.. Did someone pick the baby's right hand from another photo and cloned it right on his head in this photo?
Yeah, there are a lot of reasons to do this.. Perfectly makes sense!
WV:biists - That hand just biists out of the baby's forehead!
That cranial arm is the same one that's attached to the elbow. Why oh why did this happen?
J-Lo Cthuulu Phtaaghn!
Oh, Susan is right!
My mistake, i didn't notice that it's the same hand, only rotated 90 degrees!
Thanks Susan!
oh God, WHY?
Perhaps they wanted to make it look like she was holding the baby with her arm wrapped around its head?
I think, she's only carrying the child facing away from the camera and the other was Photoshoped on. Where are his legs??
Naaah, maybe she wasn't carrying the baby at all? looks kinda photoshoped to me ;)

J-Lo has been gettin' it on with unicorns again.
Yeah, the existance of that hand coming out of the forehead makes no sense. What were they attempting and why did no one there catch this?
VW: instre - the name of this medical condition
Oh com on, it's obvious!
An evil twin jab his Arm through the head of his good brother to kill him.

I think that sums it up nicely.
Doesn't anyone recognize the newest style of custom headwear for babies?
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh omg!
Am I the only one who read that last line of the commentary as "Thanks to Anal"?
i find it totally abhorrent, that a magazine can essentially make up moments in time that never actually happened, then sell them as lowgrade news!!
thank god for the news wires services such as AFP and AP..were practice's like these are forbidden.
It should have some sort of labeling stating that, any image you se within this publication might not be real!!
id like meet the editor..grab a copy of his 'magazine' shine it up real nice, turn it sideways..
and stick it straight up his monkey ass!
It is hard to see how this happened.
My question is was she carrying both babies in the original photo, or just the on that has its back to us?
wv: tabio
I love the baby's expression, as if he's perplexed by the arm growing out of his head.
WV: anger - the emotion that this baby is experiencing
Footnote on the Photo says "Mom´s Doom"
It makes un clear if was intentional or not but that foor note doesn't help at all.

It was all because she went to russia when she was preggers. Chernobyl isn't a nice place.

bad case of baby arm.
These comments crack me up! LMFAO

I like how the leaves were not edited out, and how the lady on the left is staring at the photographer.

I never knew they sold individual sleeves.
