According to this article, the gentleman in the photo is Christian Lüscher and the hand on his shoulder belongs to winner of Miss Suisse Romande, Marianne de Cocatrix. The woman on his right is Lolita Morena. The three of them are posing together after Lucher and Morena have just presented the award to de Cocatrix. So the orientation and location of the hand is correct, it is just an misleadingly cropped photo.
Hi! Nice post.. Follow my blog also to see the beauty of the ELEPHANT in SRI LANKA…videos…. Videos… videos… videos.. videos.. videos….. videos… videos… videos… videos.. videos…..!!!!!!!!!!
Bunde is a small town in the Netherlands. Small people have a hard time getting in frame with tall people, hence the Lolita from Bunde with the bling and her left hand on the guy's shoulder. She got cropped so the woman on the left of frame makes it look like a more socially acceptable couple than a dodgy threesome.
@Harry, David, Caitlin: You laugh, but people forget there was a time when a great debate raged about which way a clock should go. Back in an age before Greenwich Mean Time and a global standard for time keeping, my great grandfather was a strong proponent of the anticlockwise movement. He fought alongside Ulysses S. Grant in the Clock Wars, only to die senselessly in the Margarine-Butter War of 1889.
There is some type of proto-arm on the guy's back coming from the direction of the woman although if the hand in question was attched to that arm and in that position it would mean the wrist had been broken--damn near broken off--to accomplish it.
So someone tried to "fix" it which somehow makes the whole thing even more ridiculous.
Sorry Atomic Hairdryer, Bunde is NOT a small town in the Netherlands, it is in the middle of Germany. The magazine is written in German. So, if anyone is going to translate, don't try Dutch.
Bunde is not a modern German word. the word is "Bundeshaus" which literally means "house of the federal [state]" (official translation: Federal Palace of Switzerland). It's the residency of the governement and parliamant of Switzerland - located in Berne.
Leave the hand in peace!! I prefer the look ( and the value ) of the ring and the watch, I suppose they are not Photoshopped, are they? Will someone do that to me, please??

They could have at LEAST used the right (correct) hand...
Seriously, people? 14 minutes have passed, and I'm still the first to say...
my girlfriend can do that
It's the correct hand, just not hers.
I expect the wristwatch reads anticlockwise too.
I wish I had a watch that was anti-clockwise
Mine only goes counter-clockwise
Anyone see the movie The Hand, starring Michael Cain?
There may be more of you Caitlin, but our clocks were going anticlockwise first. I should take yours to a good jeweller, btw.
"After attack on federal candidate Lolita apologizes"
With a severed hand? Crazy Germans...
Perhaps she was injured in a cuckoo clock-making accident?

Sick and twisted hands ain't for supermodels... Totally ralph lauren'd, that one.
Grundlichkeit...NOT
Thanks. I'm almost recovered.
@david @Caitlin Daniel Just for the record, counter-clockwise is older than anti-clockwise according to the OED!

Case dismissed!
vw: lostsca -- which is either what she is, or a genre of music that includes Squirrel Nut Zippers.
Just needs some translation skills.

@ Altissima: so Miss Suisse Romande was trying to climb on Christian Lüscher with her right hand, or maybe did they crop her body?
anyway.. why the hell does Miss Suisse have no thumb?!??!
wv: barbyr = Barby Romande.. How Christian calls her, cozily
Does it say DIICK on top?
No, it says "BLICK"
This is SO not a PsD.
There are enough people with two left hands, so why not people with two right hands?
Tsk tsk tsk...
@ Harry Campbell
Forsooth, thou art correct.
My favourite wv so far: trannybi
@Harry Campbell
Is that record you speak of going anti- or counter-clockwise as well? Oops, showing my age now...
WV enviligh - a bit like Evil Eye but with an added consonant. Maybe the owner of that hand has an enviligh too.
sorry, my girlfriend can't do that:(
Yeek!!! Backwards hand with broken wrist! :O

it's IMPOSSIBLE for a CLOCK to go aniCLOCKwise... whichever direction it goes, THAT direction will be CLOCKwise....
hmmm... that sounded very intelligent in my head before i actually typed it down... sigh!
