Tally Weijl: One Leg Too Few

girl on bike

“A lovely leg for the role, I’ve nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you. You fall down on your left.” (Peter Cook in the Unidexter sketch).

Thanks Christian! You can see the original here. If you can’t see the PSD, please check out our red image gallery to see our marked up version.

What if, just for sake of argument, what if… her other leg is on the kickstand or peg?

    • 8xInfinity

where is her knee, then? The leg bends in particular areas, she can’t just turn her femur to jello and mold it around the bike parts.

Leave the one-legged models alone! They also deserve to work!

I just wanna know how they did this gravity trick with the liquid.

  • Rog556

Then it would be seen through one or more of the gaps around the engine – all those white spaces. Sure, the thigh is parallel, and not pointing down, so that does infer that her foot is on some support, but still the leg has to be somewhere, and on the peg or something like that, would be beside the engine someplace.

if it was on the kickstand or peg you would still see it though the gaps in the bike.

Why can’t her leg be in another dimension? Or, for the coments sake, inside the bottle?

  • Photo Freak

I don’t know where her leg went but, has anyone noticed how the liquid from the TALLY bottle is magically attracted into the gas tank. Looking at the angle of the bottle it makes me wonder. I didn’t know gravity also worked sideways. Einstein would have loved this one…

I believe that her leg may actually be on the buddy kickstand on the other side (the one right behind her leg). What looks like her leg going forward is a massive beer belly.

    Who needs legs anyway?

  • jeneria

What is up with that look on her face? They couldn’t have photoshopped some sort of emotion into it? I mean, she looks like she’s just gaping “Oh, what? You’re taking my picture now?”

    • http://www.facebook.com/gabi.garcez Gabriela Garcez

It’s the famous “mouth breathing” expression. Apparently it’s sexy, because models do it a lot.

      • jeneria

She’s not very good at it. I want to put a saliva chalice under her lip.

    …and the fuel-smelling perfume flows upwards… wow… must have that magic liquid…

  • Iambored223331

Who gets random pink in their hair?

  • Skizz

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned that the bottle is magical in that it is filling the tank with stuff and it is still full!

The model’s obviously thinking “I’d give an arm and a leg, well, maybe just a leg, to be the next Mrs McCartney.”

    • Skizz

Oops, didn’t see the off horizontal line for the top of the liquid.

  • Ftenkley

You can see her leg in the small gap below the fuel tank. Apparently the rest of her leg is obscured by the bike.

  • Gaussian Blerr

The play of light & reflection between her leg & the bike makes me think she’s really on the bike, but how do they make her look so stunted? Top half looks too small.
Also, it’s a vampire bike – no shadow!

  • Prospero761

It seems to me this is a take on Rose McGowan’s character in “Planet Terror,” who had a machine-gun as a prosthetic leg. Less of a Photoshop Disaster and more like poor placement…

  • kirviinci

Her leg is resting on the peg on the other side of the bike. Not a disaster.

    • Bargonzo

Her calf is still completely missing, as you can see through the bike where it should be…

      • kirviinci

I can see part of her leg towards the top of the bike under the seat. Her knee is blocked by the gas tank and everything else would be blocked by the rest of the bike, or more specifically the motor, since the pegs on a motor bike like that rest a bit further back. Not to mention that the way she is sitting would also end up putting her lower leg behind the motor.

Her right leg is out and to the side making it look like it is distorted, but it isn’t. It is just the angle at which the photo was taken and the way she is sitting. Still not a disaster.

I think everyone’s missing the most obvious mistake….she’s not wearing a helmet.

  • barkley7

One legged models have to work too….

  • Shiran Duarte

Not a fail. The leg is hidden by the engine, and the left foot is not on the floor.

  • Sbc

Let’s summarize we have: Missing leg (you can see through the engine), Missing arm, No helmet, Level of the liquid. I can add also: M.C. Escher pouring liquid into the tank and in the same time posing for the camera. No PSD at alllll :D

  • http://twitter.com/dingosgotmybaby dingosgotmybaby

Anyone who thinks the leg part of this is a PSD has absolutely no clue how a motorcycle works. Anyone with even a minimal amount of deductive reasoning would understand that her foot is behind her and he leg is hidden by the rest of the engine. To those saying you can see through the engine, no you can’t. You can see through part of the frame – the part that her leg is not behind. The engine is completely opaque and can not be seen through. Semantics aside, you can see a wee bit of her leg which is right where it should be if she were putting the tip of her foot on the pegs. As usual, no disaster here.

  • RobNPeggyAttaway

Coming from a photographer’s viewpoint, this is more of a posing disaster than PS disaster. While it is “understood” that a leg is there, it becomes the photographer’s responsibility to pose her in such a way that we know it’s there.

  • Guest

I don’t know – with how big her right leg looks and that big boot, it’s kinda surprising that there’s no evidence of the other leg sticking out on the other side of that bottle or through the gaps in the engine.

What bothers me more is her mouth, though. It looks like it just doesn’t belong on her face. She’d look more natural in my daughter’s fishtank….
