Top Chef: Ghost Chair

invisible chair

Made from smokey grey ectoplasm, the ghost chair not only looks great but you can pass solid objects through it. (Not recommended for use as seating.)

Thanks Vivien. You can see the original here. If you can’t see the PSD, please check out our marked up red circle image in our gallery.

I don’t think ist’s a PSD. It rather appears to me as being a shadow, cast by the woman’s glass.

  • dftbaalli

I’m shocked that this picture was able to make Padma look mildly unattractive. I didn’t think that was even possible!

  • ugly_pic

That tall lady has an arm issue. What’s that line? Is that a scar?

    • Vhcfan

      Yea, it’s a scar.

What bothers me much more is the chair to the right of the guy with hair.

If its backrest has the same width as the other chairs and we can see the right corner of it (under the other guy’s wrist) where is its left corner? It must be piercing the center guy’s kidney.

    • dthree

Before I clicked the “answer” link, I figured that’s the chair they were talkng about. If they did tighten up the space between Richart and Tom, it wasn’t much. Instead of a PsD, its more like a Ps minor situation.

Was thinking the same but then it struck me. It’s between his arm and body. He has his elbow just in front of the backrest and if you look closely to the left of his arm, just above the wrist, you’ll see a hint (about a pixel wide) of the backrests left edge.

  • The_robot

Yep it’s the shadow of the glass, took me seconds to work that one out. Come on, you can do better than this.

if it’s a shadow from the lady’s glass, why are all of the other shadows on the table in front of them? i still think it looks wanky. and, yes, padma has a scar on her arm.

    • Newzticker

that’s no PSD at all. they’ve got frontal key light and some top back light hencee 2 shadows.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=670413619 Mary Voorhies

you’re right, i see it now.

  • stephen

    a shadow from the glass.

@Voorhies – the other glasses’ shadows don’t fall on anything light coloured or visible in frame so you don’t see them – but see the shadows of the ladies arms on their bodies and the shadow from the glass stem just showing on the table edge

yet again clearly not a PSD, just like the previous post (Grey’s Anatomy) which you’ve quickly removed – at least from this half of the blog…

I’m getting the feeling whoever runs this blog knows nothing about photography or the delight of real disasters, and are just in it for the smugness of feeling superior…

do you even look at these pics or are you too busy chuckling at your own cleverness?

I agree, not a PSD. I can see why one would think that, but when you compare the shape of the dark area to that of the other chairs, it doesn’t match up. Definitely the champagne glass.

    • We34

Yes, that’s right. This is no PSD!
There is a chair, there is a hand on the chair and there is a shadow on his hand. It is the shadow from the champagne glass. Quite simply.

      By the way:
Not all “long neck”-PSDs are real PSDs!
I have seen some people with incredible long necks — in reality, no PS, no artificial extension like Paduang women!

  • DaveRave

    Another fail.

    OMG! its really funny :)
    who did this!!

  • Greken

More of a PsD Disaster tbh…

  • Rubens

dude is just the shadow of the glass ¬¬
