Urban Outfitters: Hovergirl

You may say she is bouncing, or falling from her hammock, but I say she’s Hovergirl – bred to be lighter than air.

I think she’s just a very strong woman that manages to relax down on her right arm and her legs (not shown in picture) in this position. I guess a few centuries of precise muscle excersie can do that…

Maybe only a few decades of exercise – Her left arn is being supported by the hammock, taking some of the pressure of her right arm and legs. Still an amazing display of strength.

Or she just masters the coordination of supporting body winds – like a real hovercraft?

  • Andy B

Maybe she’s just in the process of falling out of the hammock. Why they’d choose that moment for their ad, though…

NO PSD…. What you are not seeing in the big strong man holding her up so she can be in that very strange position.

Hey there Photoshop Disasters, long time reader, first time victim. I’m going to have to take responsibility for this one. The image was an awkward shape, but I needed to crop it to portrait dimensions in order to fit it on the web site (there were about 350 or so catalog images in this batch). Not wanting to chop her head off, I was forced to crop the other half of the hammock. Attached is the full image, in which it is clearly visible that even if the model in fact has the capacity to hover in place, she’s not exercising it in this photo.

      cleared

We’re all getting a kick out of this, because aside from the crop this photo wasn’t manipulated in any way.

      A photocrop disaster then…

I wish I were half this strong. Think of the pickles, the marinara sauce, the mayo!! I could weigh 400 pounds.

    If she’s lighter than a duck… she’s made of wood.. and therefore… A WITCH!

“So, if she weighs the same as a duck, then she’s made of wood. And therefore… A WITCH!” is the actual quote
