Victoria’s Secret: Abnormally Normal

Nothing surprises us about Victoria’s Secret and their bizarre idea of beauty but this is stretching it to the extreme.
Thanks Amanda. The original was found in a VS newsletter and you can see a copy of that newsletter here.

Maybe she should be modeling turtlenecks instead of lingerie!

Are you sure it’s not just the hair? Like this?

    • Waldobaby

Yep! Just the hair, further confused by the flat chest, giving no reference to the viewer except the neck that is only 50% neck.

    • kirvi_inci

Of course it is, but apparently the people who run this thing do is take a quick glance at an image and think they saw a PSD for it to go on here. This is the third  non-PSD they have had up here in 2 days. Time to get people, like you, in here who know what they are doing.

AHA! A perfect volunteer! Someone who knows everything. Someone who comes to another person’s blog and says they could do better (but won’t). Someone who feels entitled to be entertained. Someone who keeps score. Someone who tries to rouse the rabble into full revolt. You’d be gone in a week, Bubbie.

You would be gone in less than a day. You are just pissed that someone thinks the site should actually do what it is supposed to do.

          • Waldobaby

Less than a day? More like a keyboard through the monitor after two hours.

Rofl. Well, I might have to give you that one.

Just above every “long neck” photo I’ve seen posted on this site has really been the woman’s hair obscuring her shoulders.

I don’t think the chair is a PSD. She might be a Supercalifragilisticexpialidociousermodel.

  • Andrew Epps

I really don’t get why so many graphic designers think a neck should be about 3 feet long……

    • Vincent

It’s not, unless you somehow think that her neck begins at her breasts. I mean common, look at her shoulders, there’s nothing wrong here.

  • Anellia Stefcheva

What I don’t understand is why is she holding her hair. Shouldn’t she be holding the hood?

  • Phae

Hey. Guys. I know that you have a site to maintain, but seriously lets try harder. I can find PSDs on a bunch of VS’s work because the client is fractured and bat-shit insane… but there’s nothing real disaster-y about this image. Not to mention ou’re totally missing the parts that ARE retouched, so obviously they aren’t that bad. Her neck -looks- long because her hair is obfuscating her shoulder line. This isn’t high science guys. Try harder. I know it looks weird… but sometimes things just look weird.

    • Phae

Just to be safe I had a friend go check the RAW file – the only things altered around her neck were some fly-aways. No elongation. Case closed. What you didn’t notice is that the shirt has been changed in and out for other shirts in this image like half a dozen times, so… good eye.

  • God

in order to get her head stuck in the hood, it was necesarry to stick her neck out, yet again…

  • Jeff Shepherd

No PSD. At least neck-wise. Her shoulder line is obscured by her hair.

Although I do agree with the comment she should be holding onto the hood instead of her hair.

  • I M Notalthere

Her panties are showing. Somebody forgot to Photoshop out those unsightly frilly pink panties you can see on her tummy.

  • jdm8

Nice trick of the hair.  Her neck is a bit longer than usual, and the way the hair is placed, it exaggerates what is already unusually long.

So what’s with the weird clavicle all you clever anatomy students?

  • William Alan Robinson

Even I agree this is terible. There’s a good inch of smoothing on there where neck tendons … well, where the head should be a bit less Spielberg’s E.T., you get the idea. It’s almost as bad as my spelling of terrible earlier…

  • cer

This is no psd. Isn’t she an actress and played a Cardassian once?

  • Kris M

    Guys. It’s the chair.
