Competition: Creative Photo Of Expression

Last week we gave you the challenge of designing a creative photo that illustrates an expression of your choice, like “two-faced”, “caught red handed.”. We got a bunch of entries and decided to post our top 4 that were submitted.

1. Happy as Larry

created by My Friend Larry

Gotta love that ear ring and the UFOs in the background.

2. Drunk As A Lord

created by Violaine & Trypode – 20tage

Doesn’t that vomit make you want to vomit? What’s happening within the guy in the middles head.

3. Virgin Territory

created by Andre

No PSD competition would be complete without a VS model and an oversized bottle of perfume.

4. Finding Your Feet

created by Kayleigh

I’m sure we can all relate to this. Great work Kayleigh.

Thanks everyone for the awesome and sometimes very strange submissions. I will follow up with the winners.

Mr Big: Belly Button-B-Gone

Looking at this I found it pretty amazing to see how odd the whole PSD looks by removing the belly button which is something that could be considered a small detail. I wonder what made them remove it. Could it have been really that bad looking?

Thanks Danish. You can see the original here. Sorry about not having a fun caption today but its pretty late and its been a long week.

Gridiron: Mosaic Monstrosity

Given enough time, a thousand monkeys on a thousand laptops with Photoshop installed will eventually piece together something resembling cover art.

Be sure to not blame the makeup for this PSD.

Kudos to David for the find.  The original was sent through email. If you can’t see the PSD, you can check out our red circle image.

Quirky: Physics Phailure

Are you tired of being made fun of by family and friends because being cross-eyed causes you to constantly mis-target your own mouth, drenching your face in liquids teeming with high fructose corn syrup?  Well, your problems are over!  Presenting, from the makers of the Gyro Bowl, the amazing new ORBIT CUP!!  Embarrassing spills are a thing of the past with the Orbit Cup, which magically renders any and all liquids instantly weightless!

Thanks Pirhan for the submission. You can see the original on the Quirky website.

Target: Flesh-Eating Virus

I was told it was horrible flesh-eating virus she contracted as a child.  Look, she’s the bosses daughter. Just throw her in. Nobody will notice a thing and we can always take it down once I’ve told the boss we’ve featured her.

Just glad the PS job didn’t hinder sales or the 5 star reviews!

Thanks Carole. You can see the original on the Target site.

Competition: Time For Some Fun!

This week we thought we’d run a small competition for some fun. What we’d like you to do is design a creative photo that illustrates an expression of your choice, like “two-faced”, “caught red handed.” You can find hundreds of different expressions here and you should feel free to use images on PSD and else where.
The most hilarious/creative two photos will win a 25USD amazon gift voucher and the best 10 submissions will be uploaded to the site next Saturday when the competition will end.

Igieco: Skirting the Issue

Years after being ousted during the 2004 Summer Olympics for steroid use, the 9-foot-tall former champion of women’s discus takes time out from her part-time modeling career to relive her glory days from the past.

Translation of text: “Sporty inside”. And below: “1:00 PM. Kitchen. Discus throw.”

Thanks Alberto. The original is scanned from ad in an Italian magazine (Igieco) and you can find the online version here (low res)
