Wired: Staying Connected

So there’s this new thing: the unhotel from OneFineStay. And they think they’re it. They give you the chance to stay in someone’s place while they’re out of town. Live their life for a few days and try out the unlamp, which only the very rich can afford. The unlamps shade disconnects from the stand, leaving the shade suspended in the air and allowing the stand to double as a TV aerial.

I guess a real lamp is more expensive than a night in London.

    Did someone actually try to build a lamp from scratch? Do Germans wear red toed socks with white slippers?

    That sucker’s got a lot of loose links; it’s all grown up but will never hop again.

    I think it is candid photo taken of a small UFO in mid flight. Obviously it camoflages itself as a light stand so that it can help people read and study human closer.

      Thanks.  I was trying to figure out what “Amd they think there it” meant.  It was driving me a bit batty.  The PsD required no deep thought so I focused instead on the subliminal mesaage in the caption – or maybe Vernon was trying to send us some sort of  code, maybe he knows something about the end of the world.  Alas, just a grammatical/spelling error.

    The lamp shade was just thrown in the air and then thew shot was taken.  NO PSD.

    The lamp has become self-aware and has detached itself from its pedestal.  It has dreams of becoming a salon hairdryer, and really, who are we to squash the dreams of a self-aware lamp?

    No wonder, the view is fake too. 
    And that 3creepy guys, like they discussing, how to dispose from a body, and just realise, that you(viewer) overheard it.

    Meh, no PSD there. The small owl hiding in the shade is trying a discreet getaway while they are all looking at the wide-angle lens to avoid seeing the evil-red seat (that one must be a colored balloon).
    (yes, the above only makes sense -barely- if you’re a regular here)

    Actually, not a PSD.  This is a screen shot from the German knock-off computer game, “Das Sims.”  And instead of a diamond icon, the ‘active’ character is so designated by the appearance of a giant, floating Hershey’s Kiss above its head.

    I’m sure the lamp emits some retro-electronic yowling sound while it hovers across the room.
