Porsche: Size Matters

As Philippe admired the elegant interior of the mysterious stranger’s new Porsche, his eyes fell upon a small bottle in the cup holder simply labeled “Drink Me,” which, foolishly, he did, and immediately regretted his decision.

Thanks Yves. The original can be found in “La Presse“, Montreal. Seems to be a bad month for the luxury car makers (Ferrari, Porsche).

I Think it’s miniatyre vampire. He does not have reflection.

    • Ixache

      I concur.

Assuming it’s supposed to be a boy looking through the window of a fancy car (as boys are prone to do, whatever their official age), the real PSD is the absence of reflection. I don’t know, maybe Ferrari used up all the reflection stock?

(BTW, you’ve got your y,u and i all mixed up: that should be “miniature vampyr”. I mean, are we cool or not?)

  • Bob

    Maybe it’s a kid.

    • Waldobaby

What reflection? The camera’s zero degrees off axis to see the dude’s reflection. If It’s the car reflecting the city, maybe it’s at a dacha? Maybe it’s what separates Porches from Ferraris? Where the Hell is there a dog when you need one to make a point?

Wasn’t it the Romans who, when they needed to represent a person younger than an adult, would just shrink all the proportions to the same degree? Or was that the Greeks? Is this a mini-adult?

The Porsche 911 is about 51 inches high (you America-bashing children of lesser educational systems try to keep up, but I’ll give you this one as 130 cm), so the dude slim-jimmying the window is about 4′ 4″ tall.

      It could work…

  • MILCH

Absolutly. It’s a boy. It belongs to Porsche’s key communication, that you love Porsche for a lifetime.

    • Naich Roolz

If that’s supposed to be a boy then the proportions of the limbs are wrong.  A kid that tall would have shorter legs.

      • Draper

He’s leaning forward, that’s why his upper body looks short in comparison, muppet.

Also there’s no golden rule for how much of your height is legs… two 6 foot adults can easily have legs and torsos of differing lengths.

        • Naich Roolz

His feet are in a line with the snow that’s next to the car, so he’s not leaning forward, poppet.

  • Silvyah

I’ll just assume that’s a small kid O_o And lol there’s no reflection or what. Also the shadow of the car doesn’t equal those of the ‘boy’ (what kind of shadow goes left and right?)

A dwarf child looking at a car with a magic shadow.

    Hobbits also drive Porches

  • Bev

    This caption made me lol!

The guy in this picture looks about as real as a cardboard cut-out, and the car looks enormous.

  • Old Lefty

“A Christmas Carol” – Twenty First Century style and Scrooge is driving the Porsche!

  • Stella

Kid, adult, alien life being…whatever.  He should still have a shadow.

    • http://twitter.com/BBKing77 Ben Bennett

Er… he’s mostly in the shadow of the car.

  • Mccallionp

He does have a shadow, its that little dark spot in between his feet.

  • CragAntler

Clearly, that is way too much car for him to handle.

  • Windspear

I dont think this is even a photograph. It looks like painting from 60′s-70′s advertising style.

  • Synthprax

This looks more like an illustration than a photograph. Why can’t this just be a kid?

    • Hr R

Why can’t this just be an alien?

  • Jugstopper

Hey, is that Elton John in costume from the Tommy movie?

  • Sacke

Definitely a PS Disaster. There is no way that  tractor can be that elegant…

  • Bree

It’s supposed to be a child. The ad says, “You can see the future from here.” Meaning this little kid will one day own a Porsche.
