Grape Vine: Clear Headed

As Beatrice approached the gleaming black limo waiting to carry her to her dream wedding, it suddenly occurred to her that she may have been a tad too liberal with the concealer.

What the hell?!  Being that this is a real estate listing, and adding to that the very desperate, even crazy state the market is in these days, I can only speculate that this disaster is less the fault of the GA, and more due to some screwball broker desperate to make a deadline who was adamant over the rain gutters and red front door being the top features that give the property its curb appeal.

    The people did not ask to be in the photo so they decided to just remove their faces, no big deal…

      Then just do a blur over their faces. In this day and age of reality TV nobody would even pay any attention. Making it look as though their heads were just transparent is plain weird.

        Maybe they took a still from the video tour made by an artistic director who used to do television commercials: the feel-good family type where each generation walks out of the family homestead and fades out just before the next one comes walking out, and fades, and so on, with warm glorious music by Kierkegaard or Stravinsky welling up overhead.

          I have always considered the music of Kierkegaard to be the warmest and most glorious in the canon.

    What were they thinking?  They start with a bride – okay, I suppose it makes sense if you are trying to appeal to newlyweds.  Followed by a woman in overalls – or the worst bridesmaid’s dress ever – maybe trying to appeal to plumbers and handywomen?  And then they add a guy in a suit carrying a giant live turkey – to appeal to… um….uh…
