Modatoi: Astounding Angles

Aside from her obvious challenge of finding clothes to hide her freakishly long hips, Siobhan was scouring the Internet in search of a chiropractor who did not charge on a per-vertebra basis.

Maybe it’s just some sort of optical illusion, but to my eyes, that right leg of hers appears to be about eight inches lower than it ought to be.  Photoshop has great tools to fix flaws such as these, and I continue to hold that failing to employ said tools can make for just as much of a ‘disaster’ as does abusing them.

Thanks Roxane. You can see the original on the Modatoi site.

    I don’t think that’s a leg! I think she has had a sex change…

  • Daggers62

So this is a disaster because they DIDNT use photoshop? This place is pathetic. Having been lurking in the background for some months and looking at some of the comments they are utter drivel. You guys have a pathetic mob mentality and attack like hounds looking for blood. Time for me to move on.

You are right on both points. What to you expect from a site that points out people’s flaws. We are bitchier and meaner that any stereotypical teen movie alpha bitch or jerk jock trope.

    • Zukko

NO! Please, don’t leave!!! Your remarks are the only thing that keeps us here! NOOO!!!

    • CragAntler

Please don’t go.  You had me at “lurking in the background for some months.”

    • Waldobaby

“You guys have a pathetic mob mentality and attack like hounds looking for blood.” “some of the comments they [sic] are utter drivel”

You say it like that’s a bad thing. Damn. I forgot. You’ve moved on.

you know… this gives me an Idea… Why not explain the problemes with overlya xrays… I mean the read circle is lame…. it would be better if I get a skeletal figure. the take picture of it. and the compose over the PSDisater.

Then dismmemberments would look sooooo damn tragic. you know like Final Destination 3d (or FD4 how ever you want to call it)

  • Cropper

I would not kick her out of bed for eating crackers.

  • Bev

I’ve heard of “leggy models” but this is ridiculous!

  • Yo_momma

Photoshop may have been used for the s-t-r-e-t-c-h-y look in the large image. They must have cliquez when they meant to zoomer.

    Not a disaster.

  • Sideswiped

Wow, another useless post with no real photoshop disaster. I think I’ll finally remove this schlock from my rss feed.

    • CragAntler

You should demand your money back, too.  Oh… right.

      • Waldobaby

When entitled people decide to take their ball and go home, why do they sometimes feel the need to announce it?

  • CragAntler

That does look weird.  I both desire and fear to discover what lies beneath.

    • Stella

Welcome back CragAntler – I was afraid we lost you with my disparagement of Germans.

  • Stella

I once read about a guy whose hand was accidentally chopped off.  The arm was too damaged to re-attach the hand to right away, but, without blood flow to the hand, it wouldn’t survive.  So, the doctors attached his hand to his thigh – not all the little nerves, so the hand didn’t move, but the blood flowed.  Eventually they were able to successfully attach the hand back onto the arm.

Anyway, I don’t think we should make fun of this model until we see what she looks like after the final surgery is done.

Its the angle of the clothes that creates the illusion.  Not a photoshop disaster at all.

    • Yeahno

      Yeah? No.

  • Adrian Newington

Definetly a PSD. The angle of the upper leg is such that it is not going to meet up with her Hip. Something got ‘stretched’.

  • http://www.ieshy-s.com/ female models

Great post!keep it up..i love it!

  • Scott

No PSD. Run a straight line up the back of her thigh, and it meets up with the curve of her buttocks like you’d expect.

    • Likalaruku

Agreed. It looked off at first, but it;s just an illusion created by the cloth.

  • Andre

This is the 3rd post I see here that is not a PsD,  after viewing the image on the Modatoi website, in a higher resolution tha the one posted here, it is clear that the skin of the leg was clearly photoshoped. The problem is with the angle that the tunic makes as it comes down her leg, wich creates the illusion that the leg was pasted from another photo. I don’t know the level of knowledge in Photoshop of the people that post the PsD’s here, but it seems clear that you need to start asking the opinion of people that know how to properly work with Ps. And for the record, I have studied photography for 3 years, both film and digital, and have been working with Ps for the past 6 years, and with that I’m not trying to imply that you should start asking me, I mentioned that so it would be clear I am knowledgeable on it.
