Photoshop Quiz: Amputee?

What we have for this weeks quiz is a photo of a hurricane Mitch survivor that seems to have lost her legs or maybe she hasn’t and we need to get our eyes checked. Vote as to what you think might have happened and write a comment as to an explanation.

    Clearly, the object she is holding in front of her is actually a mirror.  Where you suggest her legs should be, there is simply a reflection of the ground in front of her.  Nothing photoshopped here, just a poor choice of photo!!

    I agree completely. That was my first thought too,  was that she’s got a mirror in front of her.  No Photoshop, just an optical illusion, if you will.

    I thought “mirror” at first. Then I pondered the unlikelihood of a mirror surviving that housewreck so intact, and decided PSD more probable.

      I agree, this is a mirror. Why would someone put religious paintings on the back of a chair? Makes perfect sense they would be above a mirror to show that the divine is always “above” you. Particularly when you’re masturbating, which H/She seems to have an unhealthy interest in.The photographer was probably trying to make a point that even though there was a hurricane, the mirror with the image survived intact.

    Mirror mirror that I found, is the only intact thing that’s around. As I hold it and look around, the mirror reflects what’s on the GROUND.

      Yes.  Hyperbole makes for excellent laughs.  Here at PsD “butchered” means graphically hacked to bits, not that this woman was literally attacked with a knife.  ;)

    Mirror Mirror on the floor, stop making my legs look chopped off.  Definitely a mirror peeps. look at the shadows around and behind it…the angle of reflection that it is picking up from the floor…AND the image carries it’s power as to say that something as fragile as a mirror survived BECAUSE of the religious images on it.

    I admit that I saw someone mention a mirror before making my decision, and that makes perfect sense.  Still a very cool optical illusion though!  Fun quiz.

    It’s actually quite obvious that it’s a mirror, and this I was able to figure out before I even had a chance to look at all of the other comments. Good to see, I’m not alone…it’s too obvious, in that it couldn’t possibly be anything else…as mentioned by someone else earlier, is a very cool illusion though

    It’s just a mirror, the square below the two images is actually brighter, and you can see a little portion of her skirt just below the right image, behind the mirror.

    Aaw Geez … I voted wrong.  I was sure it was photoshopped because the dirt seen between the posts of the picture was a different color than the rest of the dirt.  ouldn’t beleive 13% thought this was not a PsD.  Then I check out the comments and realize it is a mirror.  Why didn’t I wonder why a picture would have posts?

    What’s throwing everyone off here is obvious when going to the site, http://especiales.ideal.es/huracan-mitch/honduras.swf: by cropping the original image at the bottom, it looks like a PSD; leaving it uncropped, it looks normal.

    Poll should be reworded.  Bad cropping does not a PSD make (though I guess you could call that “butchering”).

    I actually think this is not Photoshop,I think the thing she’s holding is a mirror, you’re seeing a reflection of the ground as the mirror is tilted downwards and held in front of her legs!

    The ground is reddish, except under the pictures, where it is yellowish.

    This looks strange to me.
