Cool Shop: Mug Muff

None of the regulars at Rusty’s Café were happy with the new ‘no free refills’ policy, but Chester Meeks was the first to discover a loophole.

I do not know why this man needed to look as though he were holding a gigantic coffee cup.  I only know that whatever this man is holding, it is not a gigantic coffee cup.  Maybe he is giving somebody the finger.  Or perhaps demonstrating how he used to palm a spit ball when he played in the bush leagues.  Or maybe this guy is a former shop teacher who has Photoshopped his own personal fantasy of the various things he’d like to hold if he still had the fingers he foolishly severed on his table saw lo these many decades ago.

Thanks Lar. You can see the original on the Cool Shop website.

It honestly does look like he might be holding a regular sized cup through the hole in the ginormous one.

      Nice catch Norman!

      • Norman_mclane

I thought someone else would have seen that, too. To me, it’s obvious. LOL

  • Lasse Pere

The man is Alan Moore drinking tea.

why the hell would anyone put a HUGE cup, on a perfectly fine photo?!

      • Waldobaby

Why would they follow up that picture on their site with spots for women’s toilet instruction pamphlets and a radio controlled fart machine? It’s a no-brainer. Both ways.

A google image search for “alan moore cup” reveals this link to the original: http://www.mustardweb.org/dodgemlogic/alanmooredodgem.htm

Finland, Finland, Finland is the country where I quite want to be.. I don’t always drink coffee, but when I do, I like to use a three litre mug.

  • Nic

The product’s described as a ‘hangover mug’ , so presumably it really is that big.  It doesn’t explain the hamfisted Photoshopping or why it’s Alan Moore though.

Yes, exactly, it is 20cm in height. True, the lighting is completely off and the photoshop job was performed badly, but c’mon, this is meant as a joke, this is not a Multi-Million-Dollar Victoria’s Secret campaign.

Låst sømmær we went to Dænmårk ånd we føund øut thåt they use cøffeemøkke as big ås tøilets. Øn the øther hånd, their tøilets åre ås småll ås cøffeemøkke.

Good old TinEye.  All the more bizarre and confusing now though, and a little disappointing. I was expectinghoping to see something offensive behind the ginormomug.

  • Cropper

It is so fun seeing these weird Photoshop disasters and comments. Thanks for the Disasters!

He is not drinking coffee or tea, that is just a cardboard cut out…

  • Peawilliams

    Poor Alan Moore!!

  • Bev

This is so weird!  Why would anyone feel the need to plop a giant coffee mug into an otherwise normal picture?  I suspect witchcraft.

  • geowidman

Google translate from site’s comments:  Damn an awkward picture: D Made in Paint, hehe.
