TORCIANO WINERY: TRIPPY TOAST

I don’t know why I feel so tipsy.  I’ve only had a single glass.

Not sure why the only things that are in focus in this image are the girl and the bicycle, but I’m getting a migraine the longer I look at it.  Gonna go out on a limb here and assume that whatever this wine is, the price is the same whether bought by the bottle or by the glass.

Thanks Fay! You can see the original on the Torciano site.

Photoshop Round-Up: Links We Love

We had an eventful couple of weeks here at Photoshop Disasters, spotting everything from giant smartphones to a chicken-legged Jessica Simpson.  We even had another Thing sighting, which always makes our day!  Now it’s time to turn our attention to the many ways in which our beloved Photoshop has been making headlines ’round the web.  Have a great weekend.

  • Model Coco Rocha slams Brazilian Elle for Photoshopping her to look nearly nude. [NYDailyNews]
  • A compilation of amazing digitized and Photoshopped Fembots, created by digital maestro Michael Oswalds. [BuzzFeed]
  • 18 Images You Won’t Believe Aren’t Photoshopped. [Cracked]

  • People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful People” issue has a special section featuring stars without make-up or Photoshop.  We think Zooey Deschanel still looks pretty good here.  What do you think?  [BuzzFeed]

  • Is this model a real-life Barbie doll, or is it a Photoshop hoax?  You decide.  [Styleite]

That’s it for this week’s round-up!  We’ll be back on Monday with more disasters.  In the meantime, don’t forget to join us for daily entertainment on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+!

Vaseline: Finger Fumble

Darnell’s gullibility was his worst enemy, most recently landing him in the arena leagues for believing his teammate’s ruse that skin lotion doubled as a superior gripping agent.

Is that a thumb or an index finger?  Because if it’s a thumb, then that’s a stump where his ring finger should be.  And if it’s an index finger, then he’s growing a mutant finger bud.  One thing is for certain, and that is that no way in hell is this guy in the same room with that football!

I’m looking forward to reading the comments on this PSD. View PSD

Der Marathon Mann: Faulty Footwork

Commerzbank CEO Martin Blessing pauses his discussion of the weakening Euro to answer a question regarding his recent bungee jumping mishap.

This is no German banker. This is Sideshow Bob come to life! Either that, or somebody planted his Testonis a smidge too close to a moving steamroller. If you work for this guy, don’t cross him, or he’ll be sure to give you Das Boot!

Thanks Jona. The original was found in the German newspaper “Berliner Tagesspiegel” and features the chairman of the Commerzbank. View PSD

Daily Mail: iPhony

I don’t wanna play Peek-a-boo.  I wanna play Angry Birds!

Either somebody came up with an app that turns the iPhone into a holographic baby monitor, or somebody requires some remedial training in relative scale.  And while it’s quite possible that either a miniature infant or a jumbo smartphone was the intent of this graphic, the execution of the cut-and-paste job is the actual disaster here.  I believe the word is “sloppy.”

Thanks Lorzzzzz.  You can see the original on the DailyMail site.

John Lewis: Skills On Strike

Seems like John Lewis is a little confused as to when they should and shouldn’t use Photoshop.
Have we missed any disasters here? I currently see 1 instance where they failed using Photoshop and 2 where they should have used it. Should those red chairs be there or did they forget to Photoshop them out?

Thanks Rob for the great find. You can see the original on the John Lewis site. View PSD

Möbelpiraten: Breach of Reach

Vorteil 3:  All medical expenses covered should one of your own limbs be horribly disfigured as a result of attempting to install our cheap mismatched cabinet parts yourself.

Without question, this young lady’s arm cannot be so freakishly long.  Just as bad, though, is how the drop shadow from the chalkboard falls equally upon her shoulder and upper arm, fingertips, the flat yellow background, and the kitchen floor, as well!

Thanks Heiko. The original publication was created for the furniture store “Möbelpiraten” in Hessen, Germany.
