Olenka’s first gig as a fashion model in Warsaw was nowhere near as glamorous as she’d imagined it would be.

Why does a translation dictionary need a photo on the cover?  Who does that?!  Well, whoever you are, I’m betting that’s your girlfriend, so I hope the reward she gave you for making her “famous” was worth all the ridicule we’re giving you now.

Thanks Erin for the great find. View PSD

It’s not a dictionary – it’s a set of useful phrases used for everyday purposes, as how to ask for a room in a hotel.

also, this is a design from the 70′s/80′s and I’m guessing that the purpose of the girl is to ‘represent’ France with her messy bandana bun… because we all know that this is what French girls wore their hair back in the days, right, right? I’ve seen far weirder uses of models on covers:
      crossword puzzles.

Its a conversation textbook, meant for students, so thats why they put a pretty young girl on the cover. Its not very inventive, thats for sure. But I have seen far worse. Better isolation of her hair would not help much.

You can get a paper cut just from the PSD. But who ever did this is not so sharp.

Not a PSD. She just used too much hairspray.

This girl is trying to get ahead in the modeling industry.  Get it????????

Yeah, why isn’t a 3 dollar book better designed?

So, how’s it feel to be on the cover of a book that’s not even remotely about you?

Are all you guys SURE this is a PSD? I think bringing Photoshop into the
discussion is a reach. Anyone here could do exactly this well with Mac
    Paint 1.0.

    A great, polished work

Awesome! Just found your blog and as an artist who uses photoshop as a means of gathering a unique composition, I kind of like the screw-ups that look more cut and paste.

What a noob.  This blog isn’t about ridiculing bad photoshopping.  It’s about ridiculing a website about ridiculing bad photoshopping.  Get with the program already.
