PSD Daily: Ghastly Politics

Hey Photoshop fans, tell us what is – and isn’t – working in this video. Would you like to see more? Would you prefer a better looking host? Let’s hear your thoughts! If we were to do this again, it would like be about a minute shorter and with a far sexier wall in the background. Beyond that though, we want to hear from you!

Sharing/Liking this post are other whys for us to determine whether we should create this type of content in the future.

Big thanks to the following for putting this together , Bryce Bladon (creator) , Gregory Brown (camera & sound), TGK Films (equipment), David Greene (sound design).

I really liked that video! The jokes were funny, he seem engaged, and I liked how there was a lot of politics mixed in with the PSD’s. I’d totally watch more of these.

I just watched this and the sound did not match the movements of his mouth. It gets really bad when he talks about the Chinese filmmaker.

  • mmcpher

Works, but I’d like to see more of the photos and less of the host taking up so much of the screen. His comments were good, however. And maybe a beat or two longer on each photo, for those of us slow on the uptake. Right depth of detail and tone in the commentary.

  • Joy

A bit more time on each photo, and slow down the talking. It was like Bryce was in a rush to get out of there

  • Camilo Rivero

It’s good. A little more time when you’re comparing two pics, it gets kind of rushed but it works though. Keep them coming!

love it cant wait to see more

vimeo never works for me; on Firefox

I like it, but I think the shopped image should fade in a second or two after the original. And maybe you can zoom in on them or leave them on screen a bit longer.

  • Sandra de Bruijn

i agree with mmcpher… tad bit longer on the photo’s… And maybe enlarge the photo’s, for people with poor eyesight.

  • Kvin

I like the host but I think you can do better by learning from the OMG Facts weekly videos on YouTube, they’re a website but they keep their best facts for the weekly videos. You can see their videos at . They have stuff like a intro and a link to their past video at the end of each video.

By the way, my name is Kevin not Kvin, and your Disqus system is ultra laggy on iOS.

Tbh wasn’t expecting much from this but thought it was a really good mix of interest, humour and style… I agree with most of the other posters – really good presentation style :-) but could do with a bit longer on each of the images and larger images…

  • bartveld

Noooo… Let the photos speak for themselves. A guy thinking up semi-funny remarks… why? What is added? Do the PSDs become funnier? Do they need explanation?

  • ringtrue

I agree with the comments. The photos could have been a bit bigger and the host, while very good a glib, could have spoken a little slower.

  • Samantha

Keep up the good work – I’m looking forward to the next upload! :)

  • MaryMac

It reminded me of “Talk Soup”.. I liked it!

  • Bruiser

I don’t like videos and prefer to read. That’s me.

  • JStass

It was pretty good. I’d agree with the previous comments and add that I’d like to see much more recent photos than the ones presented in the videos, stuff I potentially haven’t seen yet or just saw in the last week. I’m assuming you used a mix of the best for the test video, but that almost made it feel too forced to find good stuff. Again, I’m assuming that was just for the test video though and the intent it so make it a “current PsD news” sort of thing.

I think it’s a great start, and I can’t wait to see more of these, though I have no idea where you will find a sexier wall than that one.

  • ElizaDoolittle

Video is good, I really enjoyed it! changing topic…seriously, did you write “other WHYS”??? Dude, this isn’t a PSD, it’s a 100% english disaster ;-) !

  • Drew Mayo

enjoyable, but memes and jokey photoshops are straying a little from the original PSD brief.

  • Adi

Cute host, the editing is a bit choppy, Maybe just a slightly faster delivery? To be really honest, there’s enough cynicism on the internet it’s kind of nice to see someone who seems like a nice guy instead a douchebag like me. :-)

  • likalaruku

    Me gusta.

  • Ariel Alejandro Castro Olguin

why is the guy in the video hidding his hands?? are you afraid or something… also… remmember to make zoom in to the pictures.
