Photoshop Round-Up: Links We Love

What a week!  Between North Korea trying to pull a fast one on us (again), and seeing that gigantic freaky baby with the Bluetooth, we are definitely ready to rest our tired eyes this weekend.  Of course, after viewing this image of Jennifer Lawrence without her teeth, something tells me that nightmare-less sleep might be hard to come by….

Sorry about that.

Dockers: Reflecting on shoe choices

Either Dockers is making a statement about reflecting on where our shoes come from, or someone flipped this image without thinking.

Photoshop Disasters

I may be jumping to conclusions by calling this a sloppy image edit. For all we know, Dockers is aiming a product line at people who have two right feet or a stylish stance similar to that of a duck.

Thanks Martin for the find. You can see the original Happy-Size.

North Korea: Hovercraft Clone Wars

Keen-eyed observers noticed something odd about this propaganda photo released by North Korean officials on Tuesday.  It seems they tried to make a recent military training drill look a bit more impressive with a little help from our friend, the clone tool.

This certainly isn’t the first time a government agency has used Photoshop to pump up their photos, and it definitely won’t be the last, but it does make you wonder how they think they’ll get away with something like this in today’s day and age. Don’t they know we at PS Disasters live for this stuff?

Many thanks to Laurent for the tip, and to The Guardian for the enhanced images.

Australian Home Technology: Entertaining, to say the least

The text promises great ideas and better photos; mom’s legs promise something else.

Photoshop Disasters

For all the disasters we get from publications that can get away with a lower standard from their Photoshop department, first-world magazines that underline “technology” with a meaty disaster boggle the mind. At the very least, the red text at the bottom of this cover suggests something “entertaining” – at least they followed up on that one.

Thanks Richard.

Hipoglós: Baby’s First Bluetooth

When trying to convince someone that technologies and toddlers mix, it’s best to avoid a baby so photoshopped that they look like a half-baked pile of dough.

Photoshop Disasters

You know what they say about babies with big hands – they have big bluetooth-enabled diapers. For a system that’s supposed to save parents the trouble of checking for diaper-related disasters, Hipoglós should have made efforts to avoid putting this steamy pile at the forefront of their marketing campaign.

Thanks Ygor! You can see the original on Exame.

Quiz: Thumbs up for the first born

It’s important to cradle a newborns head, but daddy dearest’s thumb appears to be this baby’s first limb-related disaster. What say you, readers? Inappropriate time for a (Photoshop-related) hand job, or a simple matter of awkward perspective?
