Dockers: Reflecting on shoe choices

Either Dockers is making a statement about reflecting on where our shoes come from, or someone flipped this image without thinking.

Photoshop Disasters

I may be jumping to conclusions by calling this a sloppy image edit. For all we know, Dockers is aiming a product line at people who have two right feet or a stylish stance similar to that of a duck.

Thanks Martin for the find. You can see the original Happy-Size.

Yes, it’s a mistake. But is it a PSD? I don’t think so. They probably used PS to flip it, but so what? It could have been done ion any graphics program and it’s just a dumb mistake. Weak.

Never thought I’d agree but this pic DOES show the product. It shows it directly and clearly and without any folderol.

The lettering on the tongue of the shoe is right.

      No, it’s not.

YES, this is a PSD. A very simple one, sure, but a PSD nonetheless. Ask any publicist, and they’ll tell you the brand is extremely important, and this mistake dillutes the “Dockers” brand.

Don’t measure the PSD only by the amount of (bad) work – measure it by its effect as well.
