Going Down: Silly Slide

There’s a joke about this woman going down on her back, but we’re too classy for that here.

Photoshop Disasters

Weirdly enough, the only curves in this photo comes from the horizon in the background. We should probably give these people some sort of award for being the only photoshop where they gave the model a flat chest.

Thanks Claudio. You can see the original on the Tenerife Water Park site.

  • omnichad

There’s no doubt of this being a PSD, but what exactly happened here?

    • Kookoo

      Nothing. It’s just a fish-eye photo.

  • Spillage Griffiths

It’s a cropped shot from a fish eye lens. To say you are one of the administrators on a Photoshop based page, one would have thought knowledge of photography was one of the fundementals!

    • PrairiefireOriginal

Suggestion for the administrators of this site: You will probably never be able to escape the
narrow-focus literalists who insist that a site named “Photoshop Disasters” MUST contain ONLY images created with Adobe’s Photoshop (TM) and ONLY images that can accurately be labeled “disaster” (i.e, no small mistakes, regardless of how amusing they may be) and furthermore that the funny-looking elements in the image must be a direct result of the misuse of Photoshop and nothing else.

Perhaps, however, you may be able to quiet some of their snippery if you add a subtitle to your site, perhaps along the lines of “Including images that are not literally Photoshop and not literally disasters but are nonetheless amusing mis-steps in graphic art and design, which we are sharing here for your edification and amusement. Now, stop quibbling
      and enjoy the show.”

      • Spillage Griffiths

I’m not nit picking… I just remember the website before FB. It was wholly “Graphics incompetance”, not mistaken identity. They genuinely were digitally manipulated horrors back then. But now, most of them are due to the posters’ errors, rather than the image producers.

  • Ashby

Why are the slide and her feet see through? No need for the opacity there…

    • miguelfluffyrubiodepena

the slide is not see through, there is water in the slide so the skin does not rub against the slide causing some serious injuries and it also provides speed and im sure that if you go to any water park you would understand and her feet are not see through either they are just distorted due to the fisheye lens used to capture the image

      • Waldobaby

…aaaaand, she just might be moving!

  • Lothar

This looks like a photograph with a fish-eye. The “flatness” might be a result from the scaling you did horizontly (the original is in portrait while it is landscape-format here).

Why would you want to “quiet some of their snippery”? You weird, man. Too bad you’re too snarky to use a name. Wait! What? Damn you’re good…

    • PrairiefireOriginal

“Waldobaby” complains that a person comments without using his/her real name. Humans are weird, aren’t they?

  • Kookoo

Hey, admins, did you know? When a woman lies on her back, her chest goes mostly flat, unless she’s got implants. And did you know? A fish-eye lens distorts the image. And did you know something else? There is no disaster here.

    • http://www.farah.cl/ Miguel Farah

If it were a fish-eye lens, the face would *severely* distorted and the body more than it already is.

  • ChrisK

This site is dumb. Throw in the towel.

  • dthree

Take a look at this photo of the waterslide and tell me there’s no PSD here.

    • Tom

This photo proves that the other one is a PSD. The water is not even touching the woman’s body and where is the bright sunlight and shadows?

  • MrMoustache

OMG i love how dumb these comments are.. XD
People trying to sound like a porfessional photographer, saying it’s totally not a PSD!
Look at the freaking light!! Look at her skin color! Try forgetting the fact that you all are “super professionals” and know “everything” one could possibly know about Photoshop …then you would notice that it looks kinda odd..

  • http://www.colorexpertsbd.com/ Ayisha Papiya

OMG It’s really amazing work you have done. Please keep it up…..

  • Larry Dyde

No PSD due to 3 things:
    1) The aspect ratio has been changed from the source site distorting things.
    2) It’s a fish eye lens!
    3) Real breasts do flatten when a woman lies down.
Yes there are a few questionable choices but it’s nowhere near PSD level.

  • Jynx

This is a combination photo- a fish eye lens was used to show as much of the park view as possible, then they dropped in a cut out of the model on the slide. She isn’t however ‘on’ the slide as this is a very difficult photo to take with the moving water and no support underneath-there would be too much blur- so they took a photo of a model lying in a similar position from an angle they tried to match as close as they could. You can see though that the slide in the advertisement is much shallower than the real slide so they could preserve more of the panorama of the park- real waterslides have deeper walls for safety so you don’t fly off. If this photo were done naturally with a fish eye lens only the girl in the foreground would be warped out of recognition.

  • marcy

Fish-eye lens, smish-eye lens. This isn’t some weird lens use nor is it some disasterous photoshopping. They just put a huge decal of a woman going down the slide at the start of the slide so that everyone would know how to lay when they go down – arms folded, feet crossed, etc…

  • stella

I know extremely little about different lenses – I am a point and shoot kind of gal (even with cameras). Can one of the “not a PsD, just a fish-eye lens” people please explain the woman’s shadow?

  • Shaun☆翔☆Leitmeyer

PSD or not, after checking out the site, I don’t care how bad the other picture is of the man with long hair wearing a bikini sliding passed fish is, that water slide looks awesome.
