LoleWomen: Stitched Up Sweater

Look how proud she is of her little disaster.

Photoshop Disasters

The true test of quality in a garment is the stitching. For example, when you stick your fists on your hips (a natural pose for an on-the-go-woman/superhero), and your pocket spontaneously spits out fabric, well, it’s something to watch for.

At least it’s thinning.

Thanks Katheryne. You can see the original on LoleWomen.

This makes me think of the way caterpillars will whittle down a leaf. They don’t eat the leaf evenly. They’ll gouge out a piece here, and another chunk there, and they’ll leave some sticky-out bits.

Yes, but why just there? The whole sweater fits badly but it could all be overlooked, so why do such a bad job just on the left?

I had a look at the original product, http://www.lolewomen.com/lsw0842.html

        The
other three pictures look rather normal to me (i.e. only reasonnable
amount of PP), and the sweater is not as ill-fitting. Compared to them,
our PSD is a close-up, it’s also slightly blurry, and the position of
the head looks funny. Maybe they attempted some kind of shot with
movement (cf. the hair) that didn’t turned out as good as they thought
and they nevertheless try to salvage it (with compositing)?

        Anyway, total PSD.

My assumption is that they were trying to make the model shaplier. Or maybe the sweater was wrinkly on that side and they wanted to smooth it out? Anyway, for some reason they forgot about her left hand.
