Baby’s Play Time: Reflections

A child’s gateway to dreamland and a layer of hell.

Photoshop Disasters

Babies start to recognize themselves in the mirror past nine-months-old, but it’s at the one-year-mark when they’ll realize they’re gazing into a scene from Poltergeist. Definitely not safe for most ages.

Thanks Slyz!

Harper Realty: Subtle Political Commentary

I wasn’t sure there was anything faked about this realty sign until I saw Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper actually smiling.

Hey readers, here’s a fun anecdote. Last Christmas, I went to see Sherlock Holmes and Harper and his brother sat behind my family in the theatre. Here are two things I learned: one, he’s surprisingly short. Two, his brother doesn’t know to shut up when Robert Downey Jr. is talking.

And yes, in Canada you do just run into the Prime Minister. Don’t get me started on the time I ran into the Attorney General while playing paintball.

Kohl’s: Chic proportions

With the background and otherworldly body shape, this looks more like a piece of faux-art from the 80s than an ad from a Milwaukee-based department store.

Photoshop Disaster

Department stores like Kohl can offer savings through their bulk orders and clever tricks like only using two dimensions. I hope we’re all aware of the irony that “Design Nation” is bolded here.

Photoshop Disaster

Thanks Elaine and Matthew. The original came from a direct mail circular from Kohl’s department store. Any idea why Kohl’s might have done this?

LA Lakers: Kobe on the Court

Kobe Bryant’s so smooth on the court, the other players just seem to disappear.

Photoshop Disaster

The sport features seven-foot-tall supermen who spend half the game airborne, and you can’t show the players standing realistically? The next NBA lockout needs to address the league’s failing Photoshop team.

Thanks Carla. You can see the original Record website.

ATR: Eye-popping debt

I miss the days of my wide-eyed youth.

Photoshop Disasters

Is this a modern take on Edvard Munch’s The Scream? This girl is going to be a real heart-breaker when the rest of her catches up to those big blues. I can see men losing themselves in her eyes. Literally – those things are scary big.

Thanks Gary.

Thin Line Collection: Mediocre Mermaid

Man, corset fashion has gotten lazy.

Photoshop Disasters

The mermaid-esque legs go great with that horse harness. Though I pray she has no intention of actually riding a horse. I… can’t see that going well.

Thanks Caroline. You can see the within the fine/thin collection on the Lefigaro.fr site.

Brant Brothers: Man-Pretty: Leg Corsets

Is it just me, or has the skinny jean fad gone too far?

Photoshop Disasters

Classic case of only doing upper body at the gym. Both models are shown reflecting on their worrisome anatomy – not sure why peg-leg is holding a Tampon though.

Thanks Stephen. The original can be found on Fashionista in their Andy Warhol collection of photos.
