Photoshop Round-Up: Links We Love

This week on Photoshop Disasters we featured not just one, but two disasters involving professional basketball players.  We also had a good debate over whether Jackie Chan has had his arm detached for advertising purposes.  Then we spent some time floating just above our air mattress while enjoying a good book.  You know, the usual.

On to the links!

  • A Polish casket maker is under fire for (badly) Photoshopping half-nude models onto coffins in his advertising. (Thanks, Gwen)  [NY Daily News]
  • Think you know how to use Photoshop?  Check out what this artist can do (video). [BuzzFeed]
  • 15 images that look Photoshopped, but are totally real. [MSN]

  • Celebs Before and After Photoshop. [BuzzFeed]
  • 25 Incredible Photos from History.  Serious goosebumps.  [Ned Hardy]
  • Can Photoshop be beaten?  New technology says yes.  [The Huffington Post]

That’s it for this week.  Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you back here on Monday with more disasters. Don’t forget to join us on FacebookTwitter, and Google+ for daily entertainment!

Those models aren’t photoshopped onto the coffins – these are actual shots from photo sessions (although they did have some work done on them obviously). And for some reason – I love the idea.

Now I have this strange desire to buy a coffin. A shipwreck breaking-through-glass chained slave girl desert mountain beach coffin. And whatever the hell is going on in the lower right.

    • Bev

Yeah, I’m not sure what the message in the ad is supposed to be, but I kind of like it too. If you’re gonna buy a coffin, why not make it an awesome coffin? With shipwrecks and chains and scantilly-clad ladies! Woohoo! :)

      • Nangleator

But if that’s how you’re supposed to get the darned things home… I’m rethinking my purchase!

About the speed painting-link, there are way better artist than that. I didn’t think it was good at all. Take a look at http://nicodimattia.com/ , and you’ll see some real talent!

      Thanks for the link!
