Photoshop Fail: Kill It With Fire!

While searching for a new hairstyle, PsD reader Amanda stumbled across this horrifying image.

We’re not sure what this is, but we know that it scares us.  It’s like someone built a life-sized love doll out of Winona Ryder and Keira Knightley’s spare parts!

I have reported your site and the link that leads to a phishing site to every authority I could find. Shame on you!

My first thought was, “What’s wrong with you?” I’ve been coming to this site for a while, and it’s legitimate. But, sure enough, where it says “original is here,” the “here” does lead to a phishing site. They need to know that.

I had no idea the link was a phishing site. I’ll remove the link. Next time, please give us the benefit of the doubt and drop us an email at info [at] psdisasters [dot] com to let us know. Thanks!

Hahahahaha… it’s indeed from a very funny website (as you can see in the necklace from this photo): http://gimps.de/

      Oh my…
Translating the “Info” page is hilarious (not so much because of autotranslation errors but how the site’s authors have hyped it):

“In the beginning there was no color, there was no Gimps . de and there was no joy. The hard-working people struggled with difficulty through the workday. Suddenly the light came from all sides, it was the color, it came Gimps . de and there was joy.”
“Gimps . de is a brand, a name and an acronym for Giant International, Multilingual Public Source of Divine Enjoyment.”

[Spaces added to site name to prevent them being auto-linkified]

So nothing to do with the GNU Image Manipulation Program, then? :)

I guess not, and I hope not… GIMP users have been doing pretty interesting stuff lately :-)

        • jdm8

I would imagine. GIMP users have been doing some nice stuff over a decade ago.

Seems like a funny site! I’ll keep it in mind for future fails. :)

  • Spillage!

It’s from a comedy site… gimp. You ought to check your sources better!

    • Bev

Hi Spillage. This is the Fail portion of the PsD site, where we feature ugly, bad, or laughable fan art and intentionally-bad work from comedy sites such as Planet Hiltron, Gimp, etc. On the main Disaster site, we only feature accidental, commercial errors in advertising. Sorry for the confusion.
